Outfit of the Day: Journal

I’ve started to really dislike this daily post of my outfits. I…do not like photos of myself. And I am not a photographer. But! It *is* good motivation to dress better, I admit, and to figure out my camera. I’m doing better, I think, but sadly, this is the brightest room in the house and it’s not big enough to capture, uh, my head. Old houses = small and expensive and heat-leaking and not designed for fashion blogging. I think I’m going to have to go out into the urban wild to take photos from here on out.

I also realized I don’t have stuff to say about clothes every single day, but hey, it’s not like I have to talk about clothes just because there’s a photo of my clothes, right? Right.

Sweater: Anthropologie; Shirt: H&M; Pants: Boden; Shoes: Toms

Sachi’s had the flu for four days now. I had it for three days and I’m better, but it turns out that five year olds who still stick absolutely everything in their mouths take longer to heal. He’s been wearing the same pajamas and is starting to smell. I was the same way, admittedly, but this morning I got up early, put on the prettiest low-maintenance outfit I could think of, and I already feel better. I have to remember that I’m a morning person and as tempting as sleeping in is, life is much better when I wake up at 5:30.

    Love that sweater!

At first I thought, “Ugh, I would never put all that pressure on myself to blog about how I dressed every day, THAT IS CRAZY” and then I thought, “But I am preventing myself from making spaghetti every Tuesday and tacos every Friday or whatever, so shut up brain.” We have a sisterhood of making things hard for ourselves for no reason!

  3. What we see in the mirror is not what other people see. Just so you know, I would love to be thin enough to wear those clothes–you look terrific!

I love love love this outfit, nothing to say other than fabulous.

  5. Jenna says:

I love green, black and white together. Well, I love green with everything. YAY!
