Introducing The Gwyneth-Shalini Project

Hey! I’ve been wanting to do this project for a long while, but someone beat me to it. There was the Danny/Gwyneth Project, where this young, young boy was to cook all of Gwynnie’s recipes and form a bond with her, Julie/Julia style, and then get famous. I was deeply jealous that he thought of it before I did, but then! Then HE STOPPED BLOGGING ABOUT IT. THE NERVE. Like people have lives outside of blogging?

So, I am swooping in vulture-style to tell you that I am going to spend 2013 blogging Gwyneth Paltrow’s most interesting recipes from her cookbook, My Father’s Daughter.

That’s right. I’m gonna bond with Gwyneth. She’s gonna be my BFF, and I’m going to cook all of her recipes, such as duck and rosemary burgers with plum ketchup, and wood oven fired pizzas, and other common recipes.

Now I just have to install my ten thousand dollar pizza oven and track down some hemp milk and vegan mayonnaise, and this project can get rolling. Right after I vomit in my mouth a little.

I was so mad someone thought of the Julie/Julia project and got famous for it before I did, I had half a mind to do the Rachel/Rachael project. 365 days of Rachael Ray recipes, woooo! Then I thought about how I would have to finish every meal by saying some variation of “nummers!” and changed my mind.

How do you make mayonnaise out of vegans, anyway? ;-)

  3. Polly says:

Sounds fantastic, I always think I’d like to do this with one of my cookbooks but then I get side tracked….a very bad habit.

  4. Erica says:

    I AM EXTREMELY PRO-COOKBOOK-PROJECT.
