1. Hey! You’re totally in for #twitterbookclub tomorrow (Wednesday) at 5pm PST, right? Except that it’s #chickenbookclub now, OK? OK. You can always check which book we’re reading by clicking the little thingie at the top of my site, labelled unintuitively, “twitter book club.” This month is The Perks of Being a Wallflower and I’m going to say right now that if you hate it I might cry.
2. I’m closing comments on most posts. If I write something rambly and introspective (like about shoes) I will open them, but otherwise, closed. Not because I’m getting nasty comments or anything of the ilk, but because, I dunno, it feels weird to me that you need to leave a comment on a drawing of broccoli. You don’t. You know I love you even if you never comment, right? OK. Good.
3. I’m going to be drawing more, and posting less often, because you all, I’m kind of sort of working, and it turns out work takes up time. WHO KNEW. I’m going to post as often as I can, because it’s my therapy, but that might be once a week, that might be still five times a week. I don’t know. This is a brave new world of mommyhood and employment and juggling and HOLD ME I’M SCARED.
4. I’ve been doodling on paper, and I know my Thing is MS Paint, but I just don’t want to stare at the computer screen a second longer than I have to. I’m sorry if you hate my paper and ink drawings, but I’d like to try something new, and it might be a while before I get the media right. OK, take the “might” out of that sentence. It WILL be a while, and things won’t look as awesome and pixelated as before, but you know, they can’t ALL be pixelated pieces of crap. Some of them have to be drawn pieces of crap! Like the drawing below, which I don’t love, but eh. Practice makes better, right?
So, without further ado, Lima Bean, who is totally the hot, sexy nerd of the vegetable world. (He might be a librarian.)
